Innocence lost. Justice delayed.

Blogger Comments:  Who knows what the outcome of this hearing will bring once the jurors receive the case.  What a tragic story. A lead investigator charged with protecting children during the 2007-2008 timeframe dropped the ball in our opinion. That same investigator became sheriff of our county and still no justice for the children. Why? Why did this happen? Why was justice delayed? Is there any justice at this point? The children are grown and the woman who could have expedited the judicial process did nothing for years.  Franklin was sheriff for 8 years.   Prior to those 8 years she was a lead investigator in the special crime unit.  Subpoenas went out to Franklin yet were undelivered.  She couldn't be found.  Some things never change.  No excuses leaving the DA with a mess to clean up.  This mess started in the 2007 - 2008 timeframe.  Folks, this is March 2019.  This is a bad case made worse by time and investigator Ana Franklin, aka previous Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin who ignored the hard issues and left children hanging for years. We have no clue what the final outcome of this week's hearing will bring. We do know that someone was negligent in their duties. Our opinion is that investigator Ana Franklin dropped the ball on the victims and the Morgan county judicial system.

According to Mr. Lesher, Sheriff Ana Franklin scared him.  Sounds like there was no need to be afraid of Sheriff Franklin.  She did nothing with this case and left a mess for the county and the DA to clean up.  How does something like this happen?

Regardless of how you feel in this case a lot of things went wrong and stayed wrong until it got in the hands of the DA and into Judge Brown's courtroom.

The whistleblower forgot to turn her phone off and left the courtroom phone in hand. We apologize judge Brown for our indiscretion. The victims and the accused in this case, deserve the court's attention.

  1. Missing in action? Doesn't surprise me. Anyone check Sarahland?

  2. There has to be more to this story. The case previously went before judge Waters.

  3. She is nothing but a disgrace to Morgan County, was then and still in the future. She will not show up to any or any of her pending cases.

  4. She will have to show up. Her big dog attorney knows exactly where she is at.

  5. You just cant skate off into the sunset with wads of cash hidden...please tell the public someone is on this.

  6. Or was the note hand off to pence covering all. Surely not. Pence seems like a honest individual who wouldn't do a favor to a corrupt ol Sheriff of lil ol Morgan County AL

  7. The whistleblower will be away from the office for the next week for personal reasons. We respect and love all of our readers. May God bless.
