Anybody who can not handle restructuring needs to go

Blogger Comments:  Folks, it is high time that sheriffs and employees alike realize that the sheriff's offices are government entities.  If you can't handle restructuring, its time to go.  If you can't support the new sheriff coming on board, you need to go.  If you can't handle change, you need to go.  No one person is irreplaceable.  If you think you are, you need to go.  If you have words for the new sheriff in town such as "well! that's the way we have always done it"  You need to go.  If you can't support the new sheriff-elect, you need to go.  This is a time for change, regrowth, and pulling the community together and if you can't handle that you need to go.  Congratulations Sheriff Sanders.

Sheriff Max Sanders

  1. Elections have consequences. Also it is one thing to support and vote for your boss, it is another to get 100% full fledged into the nuts and bolts to the point of taking out ads, attending rallies and dogging out the oposition, politicing full bore on facebook, getting into confrontations on facebook, attacking private citizens over their Facebook posts (linda blaxton) that's when it is time to go, incase you didn't know. You should have left the campaigning to the candidate who was lazy and didn't show up. You fought his battles for him and now you have to suffer the consequences, in my opinion.

  2. To many folks over 70 years old up there just riding the department for a check and getting rich off the county, not zeroed in on public service. If you are lazy, think any job or task is beneath you or just don't want to work it is time for you to go, no more free riders and folks trying to get their retirement up (the mitchells).

  3. Glad BL is gone, a public embarassment. Maybe he can "get to the bottom" of why he was fired! #silvertonguedevil

  6. Well from what I have heard Mr. Sanders has been very professional reaching out to Gene Mitchell on several occasions while Gene on the other hand has been a sore looser and childish as a 76 year old refusing to answer the phone or call Mr. Sanders back since the election. They have not any conversations about the transition because Gene is so petty. Gene wants Mr Sanders and the sheriff's office to fail. Gene I hope you are up there tonight so I can see your face. But I know you will be a no show, your actions over the last two months show you are a weak little petty man.

  7. Folks dog max out then expect to be his #1 employee and say I was just supporting my boss, no you were tearing down the other man, you crossed the line so suck it up buttercup, you know in your head and heart that you crossed the line.

  8. Gene wasted the discretionary money after the election to try and hurt mr sanders out of vengeance and being a petty sore looser! Firing folks for political reasons, why ain't folks beside themselves over the ones gene fired right after the election.

  9. Does fake moulton advertiser know Gene fired people right after the election for political reasons?

    1. I can personally say that no one was fired for political reasons. Only 2 people were fired since the election and they both were due to not doing their jobs correctly for a long time. Now I'm not taking up for gene because I'm glad Max is in office, just trying to clear up rumors.

  10. Corrupt Alabama Sheriffs. Hell Ana stook up for Bones after killing a Golden Retriever. Held a damn press conference explaining why he had to kill Aubie. Disgusting

  11. Said ol Aubie lunged at him. He was a veteran who had that dog for PTSD all over a tiny bit of pot

  12. Look up Justice for Aubie

  13. Seen how Madison County sheriff blake dorning handled transition with new sheriff, just shows how sorry Gene Mitchell is and what a sore looser he really is. Old ass should have been gone. So petty, maybe future sheriff's will have class and do it right and not like no class eugene.

  14. Gene said you only get to pick the color of the car after you been elected sheriff, well Eugene, when you ordered these vehicles Max had been elected sheriff, he just hadn't took the oath. So you should have consulted with him. But you did go out a swinging to be so old.

    1. I’m not taking up for Mitchell. But he buys seven new patrol vehicles for the deputies and leaves $158,000 in discretionary funds. And people and sanders are complaining?? And because of the color?? Juvenile stuff but I’m certain that the deputies are happy for the new rides somehow with all of this complaining the deputies get lost in the discussion.

    2. Why not leave $382,000.00 in the discretionary account and let the new man coming in in less than two months decide how he to best use the money? It's not Genes money it is tax payers money. That is the problem, these sheriff's get in office and they start thinking everything is theirs, it's not the tax payers own it all, the are only a temporary manager of the office.

    3. Also color is a big deal and the big deal is wasting tax payer money by a petty little short man who has vengence in his heart and is not helping but trying to hurt his successor because he beat him in a political race. Just so small for gene and shows his true character.

  15. That's sad ol Gene wouldn't converse with new incoming sheriff. Easy transition. Tells ya something may not be right in him and his families thievery Not accusing just a thought

    1. You right on target, other agencies having smooth transitions and gene want even return max phone calls and messages.

  16. The color of the deputu units doesn't really matter and if Max does a good job he will be re-elected and can change things as the county can afford. He has bigger things to worry about including safety of the officers having vests to wear and security stay awake in the court house before something tragic happens to those employees as well. A life is more important than a car or any other material thing. It is done now and can't be changed so let's just move forward with positivity and a new sheriff.

    1. Can do more than one thing at a time. All those things are important including image of the department and color of the vehicles.
