New claims filed against Morgan sheriff, employees

Blogger and Falkville business owner Glenda Lockhart has filed new claims in a pending federal lawsuit against Sheriff Ana Franklin and other Morgan County Sheriff’s Office employees.
“They wanted specifics, so we gave them specifics,” Brandy Lee, one of Lockhart’s lawyers, said Monday. “This was a terrible abuse of power. It shocks the conscience that somebody would use their public office to protect their own personal interests instead of serving the people of Morgan County.”
Lockhart’s 63-page third amended complaint includes new allegations that stem from testimony last month in a hearing involving a misdemeanor charge against former Morgan County Warden Leon Bradley. Bradley was charged with computer tampering for allegedly forwarding sensitive Sheriff’s Office documents to Lockhart’s blog. Circuit Judge Glenn Thompson dismissed the charge.
