Judge in lawsuit against Morgan sheriff orders evidence preserved
By Eric Fleischauer Metro Editor
A federal judge today ordered all parties to preserve any evidence, including computer records, pertaining to an October 2016 search by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
The order is intended to preserve evidence until the judge can hear argument on the issue Thursday. It was entered in response to a motion by Sheriff Ana Franklin’s lawyer in a lawsuit brought against her and three subordinates by Glenda Lockhart, a Falkville businesswoman who for years has published a blog critical of the sheriff.
