Folks, it has taken a long time for the seriousness of what Sheriff Ana Franklin and her deputies did not just to us but a lot of people to include Judge Thompson. Now we pray we can put this all behind us now and look to the future.
I have been going back through the blog and am embarrassed that I truly suck at spelling but the message did get out. From the very beginning of the blog, Franklin started accusing me of trying to kill her or going on her property, of damaging Bones Wilson's truck, or being in her house while she was sleeping. I've never done that. Franklin also claimed I had criminals who were out of jail at my home. I did. I worked with folks from halfway houses because I believed then and now that everybody is redeemable.
What I didn't do is use the inmate for personal gain as did the Sheriff. When the blog got too close to how she was working the inmates, that was too much for the sheriff. When we got too close to what was happening with the Performance Auto Sales ownership and investments, that is when we had to be stopped.
No regrets. I am very proud of the witnesses that came forward with their testimony and were honest and truthful. I am very proud of Daniel who seemed to have lost his way but with a little bit of help from those behind the scenes, he found his way. Daniel loves his career with the military and has followed my husband by joining the Army and serving his country. Hal and I are also prior civil servants and enjoyed and worked with honor. Thank you, Daniel, for your service. Thank those of you who always believed in me even when a lot of my family thought I should be in a straight jacket.
Again, thank all those who worked the blog and those brave souls that shared critical information to us and outside agencies. We are all believers.
