While patrol and jail employees are told not to incur overtime unless necessary the Drug Task Force averages between 20-50 hours of overtime each week. How does that happen when the Drug Task Force is closed every Friday?
This is a sore spot for the deputies and other employees w/little to no opportunity to work overtime and whose income is far less that of the Drug Task Force members. Bones Wilson is one of the most egregious task force officer applying for overtime.
As you can see Bones who is over narcotics put in for 8 hours on the two Fridays of the pay period. On this sheet Bones has 80 hours worked @ $22.00 per hour (average) and 32 hours of overtime. See example below.
Regular Pay Over Time Hrs Totals
$22.00 32 $1,760.00
X 80 X 1.5 $2,816.00
$1,760.00 $1,056.00 $2,288.00
What is the justification of being paid on Fridays that you don't work?
This is just a sample of the overtime for Bones but we think you get the picture. If you recall we posted the $100,000.00 plus overtime that Bones has been paid for his service or lack of.
Note the fact that the time sheet was signed by Corley.
