President Trump endorses Luther Strange?

Blogger Comments:  Strange very Strange.  Surely Trump does not know about the Alabama swamp. Strange and Bentley.  Strange and Franklin.  Strange and his love child.  Strange very Strange.  Ana is praying that Strange wins the special election hoping he will save her butt.

President Trump tweets endorsement of Sen. Luther Strange

President Donald Trump has endorsed Sen. Luther Strange in Alabama's Senate race.
In a Tuesday night tweet, the President said "Senator Luther Strange has done a great job representing the people of the Great State of Alabama. He has my complete and total endorsement!"

Senator Luther Strange has done a great job representing the people of the Great State of Alabama. He has my complete and total endorsement!

The tweet came on the same day Strange picked up the endorsementof State Rep. Jim Carns, R-Vestavia Hills, co-chair of Trump's Alabama campaign. The former Alabama Attorney General had already received the endorsement of Perry Hooper Jr., chairman of the Trump Victory Committee in Alabama.
Strange was appointed to the Senate earlier this year by former Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley after Sen. Jeff Sessions was tapped by Trump to lead the Justice Department. The timing of the appointment prompted questions, as Strange's office was in the midst of an inquiry into Bentley's relationship with a staffer. Bentley resigned in April as part of a plea deal related to campaign and ethics violations.
Polls in the Senate race show Strange and Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Huntsville, tied for second, with former Chief Justice Roy Moore on top of the 10-candidate GOP field. The primary is Aug. 15 with a runoff set for Sept. 26.
The presidential endorsement isn't sitting well with some Alabama Republicans.

@realDonaldTrump It's a sad day in AL when you let the swamp creatures convince you Luther Strange is the right choice for our Senator.

  1. Trump was never interested in draining the swamp. Just saying whatever sounded good enough to get elected.
