A federal judge has held an Alabama sheriff in contempt. So do we, Judge. Civil contempt which means no jail time. She was fined a piddley-assed $1000 which the judge called a ‘nominal monetary sanction’, what Franklin calls ‘pocket money’. And she now has legal sanction to use the food funds as she wishes. This blog foresees his-and-her luxury horse trailers, star-spangled rodeo outfits, and road deputies riding bicycles on patrol. So, Ana, cross this one off your bucket list and take a victory lap. Feel free to take out your revenge on those who dared point out your sins and omissions;
This is the end of episode one in the sorry saga of your professional life.
A lot of people feel differently about the ruling. See contempt of court definition.
It appears that Sheriff Franklin did commit a crime and if not a crime in its self it was a willful disregard and disrespect for the authority of the court of law. Ana is laughing at the slap on the wrist today. Ana should be ashamed and disgraced by her actions but she considers this a win. It isn't a win no matter how Ana spins it. I for one feel like the best is yet to come. I can hear all of the Ana fans now. Just you wait to see what she has in store for you. OK! I can promise you no matter what the cowardly, lying, thieving sheriff does to the whistleblowers we would rather be us than Franklin, Bones, Blake, and Powell just to name a few.
Ana is very familiar with contempt of court since her common law son-in-law racked up several contempt of court violations while he was spending time in the Limestone County jail and working as a corrections officer at the Morgan County Sheriffs Office during December 2012 and January 2013. Ana allowed her common law son-in-law to resign without proper notice. Like I said. Ana has no respect for the law nor does she have respect for the court of law unless it is a scheme she cooked up.
