More questions than answers

We have heard a lot of questions lately.  Mostly, why doesn't Ana resign?  Why isn't Ana ever at work?  Who is paying Barney?  Why isn't Ana in jail?

We have a lot of the same questions.  The wheels of justice take time.  Ana has a scheduled date for her next Federal Court hearing set for June 22.  Ana is afforded her due process and adjudication just like everybody else.  Ana's adjudication will follow the proper judicial process unlike a lot of people in Morgan County that Ana has set up, or the people she has forced out of their jobs because they were no longer of use to her, or they were people of color, or she called in so-called informants to do her dirty work.

Why doesn't Ana resign?  She can't if she resigns, who will pay her legal bills.  Right now, Ana is covered by the county's insurance provider.  Which has been the case for the past six years.  Why isn't Ana ever at work?  Why should she change her habits now?  Ana has been sheriff since 2011.  She has never had a history of coming to work.  She tried in 2011 and 2012.  Mostly because she was always in the news making her exaggerated drug busts and gaining popularity all while sucking the sheriff’s office dry of resources.  At that time, nobody would have believed the full extent that she would take the sheriff’s office down.  Nobody would have believed that she would drag the deputies down to a few good men.  Ignoring the fact that they place themselves in danger daily without proper gear, updated vehicles, dash cams, and safety vests.

Who is paying Barney?  That is a very good question.  If the county commission is not paying Barney’s legal fees then Ana must be paying them out of pocket.

Now that the laughing is over we can continue.  We doubt seriously that Ana is paying anything out of pocket since she had to borrow money from booger to replace the money she stole from the inmate food funds.  Most likely, Ana is paying Barney out of the Morgan County Sheriff's Office funds.   We are told that Ana is spending money like there will be no tomorrow.  She wants to make sure that when she is arrested there is nothing to sustain the sheriff's office.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is in shambles.  We recently heard from a family that their 60-year-old loved one is in jail in Morgan County.  The male inmate is said to have staph infection so bad that he is arms have been wrapped in trash bags.  I hope this is not true but if it is the man needs to see a doctor ASAP.  We also understand that his pod was scrubbed down and as soon as he returned to the pod he fell and was injured.  That is yet another opportunity to contract staph infection in any additional wounds.

We encourage the jail staff that if this story is true to get this man help NOW.

  1. You talking about the new vests the sheriff bought last year, that the county commission refused to purchase, or the new patrol cars the county commission has refused to buy since 2009?
