Who ya gonna believe Harold Jeffreys, Greg Steenson, or Sheriff Ana Franklin

Comment from one of our readers:

Glenda, the truth is beginning to come out on the Jeffreys family. For over a year now we have all heard the poor pitiful Harols and Judy story, guess what, nobody believes it anymore. You see when you pay these so called accountants and lawyers hundreds of thousands of dollars each they do and say what you want them to. Kinda like you do for the Jeffreys, but when new accountants and attorneys get involved that Harold can't control or manipulate the truth begins to come out. Just watch, the best is yet to come from what I hear. Harold has a long list of business deals where he was supposedly the "victim" and lost money, inquire on those for your readers. It's a pattern in his life to be the victim. Good day.

Who do we have here.  Sounds like Steven Ziaja and Greg Steenson.  Those two have been spending way to much time together here lately.  Up to no good most likely.  So! "The best is yet to come."  I would say so.

From the time, we begin observing Steven Ziaja and Sheriff Ana Franklin's involvement in the Title Marts we felt that something very dirty was going on.  From watching cars being moved off the drug task force lot to a local car dealership, to Masterson hitting a vehicle and trying to pay cash for the repairs, to Greg Steenson throwing thousands and thousands of dollars around, to Ziaja walking around with thousands of dollars in his wallet and lying his butt off about vehicles he sold to the Title Marts, to Blake Robinson cleaning and detailing vehicles while on MCSO time, to Blake Robinson transporting money from one dealership to another using his county vehicle, to using inmates for cleanup, watching Sheriff Ana Franklin hopping on four wheeler and riding around the parking lot with her then lover Steven Ziaja, to Sheriff Franklin buying vehicles, tractors, and horse trailers she never paid for, to Alyssa working at the dealership and signing Greg Steenson's names on car deals, signing her mother’s name on checks written by Greg Steenson, to purchasing a vehicle she never paid for.  It was and is apparent that nothing good could come out of this mess.  Steven Ziaja is a coward who cries like a baby in the neighborhood that he is a broken man.  He is dirty and one of the masterminds behind the scheme to steal money.  Just like Sheriff Ana Franklin and her felon cousin Greg Steenson.   By the way I forgot the car dealership in Chelsea, Alabama.  The one Steven Ziaja helped set up for his supervisor John Venegoni, from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Did I mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars that changed hands between the aforementioned criminals?

Each of these thugs, who are common law enforcement criminals was given an opportunity to turn over the goods that proved that Harold Jeffreys was a thief, a liar, and a man who knew that his company was being ripped off by the law enforcement criminals, and Ana Franklin's criminal cousin Greg Steenson.  To date you have brought nothing to the table.  You had your chance in Bankruptcy Court, you had an opportunity to file a law suit against the Jeffreys, yet you did nothing but open your big mouths and spew venom.  You did not need to show us anything.  Most of you are law enforcement you know how to manipulate the law and use it as you see fit, so why didn't you fight and prove that the Jeffreys was guilty in a court of law.  Who is the judge going to believe you or the Jeffreys?  Back then if you had circled the wagons and sent someone in to the bankruptcy courts to defend your so-called losses other than Alyssa Franklin you may have had a chance.

It is hard to close this blog out without mentioning how many of Sheriff Franklin's family and close friends invested in the Title Marts.  She and Steven planned on getting rich and moving to Colorado when they retired.  God willing and the creek don't rise maybe they will be spending their winters dreaming of what it felt like to be free, to ride horses and feel the wind in their hair, to hunt and track deer, to drive the best of the best vehicles, and to travel near and far.

All I have to do is dream

  1. Who do we believe?

Let's start with Ana, she probably should not have invested with Jeffreys. She did lie on several occasions about where she got the money, but at the end of the day she put the money back without being able to collect from Jeffreys. That's more than we can say for Jeffreys.

Then there is Steenson, you have a person here who has been in trouble before, but he doesn't try to be something he is not, so what you see is what you get. It's very possible Jeffreys teamed up with Steenson just in case something went wrong he could have a scapegoat. Just a thought.

Now how about Jeffreys? Here you have this self proclaimed savvy businessman. He opened this business and funded it with his own money for a while. Once his money either dried up, or for other reasons he started actively seeking investors/lenders to keep funding his business. He started out tapping family members, but soon targeted other people throughout the community. Using investor/lender funds he opened several additional locations and started a small title lending business. He also decided that sense he had several investors on the hook he would start paying himself 17% interest on the money he started his own business with. (Now think about that, he used investor money to pay himself 17% interest on his own money. That seems wrong). He also begin to buy new vehicles, race cars, classic cars, tractors, Polaris RZR's and 4 wheelers, and a new house. These are just a few items, there are many more.

Sometime in the fall of 2015 Ben decided that he didn't want to work with his dad anymore, and John and Katie Klein, Harold's daughter and son in law who ran the Hoover Title Mart decided that the business was unethical and wanted to do something else. With these developments Jeffreys made the decision to close down. Not sure why Katie and John wanted to close down, Harold sent around $15,000 a month down there of investor funds, but they did.

The right thing for Harold to do was get with his investors and devise a plan to exit. But being the businessman he is suppose to be and the 60% owner he did it his way. He hired himself a lawyer to file a frivolous lawsuit against Steenson. Then he hired the so called forensic accountant paid him over $200,000.00 to say and do what Harold told him to. Then without consulting anyone he hired a bankruptcy attorney and filed bankruptcy. Never once taking into account the burden he was placing on so many people, and trying to beat them out of their hard earned money, in some cases their life savings.

Let's look for a minute what would have happened had Jeffreys taken another route. First he could have told his investors he was closing down and he would pay them as the money came in. He was collecting over $100,000.00 monthly on the accounts receivable at the car dealership. Next, he could have sold the inventory off of the lot for full retail price as opposed to pennies on the dollar at a fire sale. He could have also sold the toys he and Ben had that the investors money paid for at full retail. Had he taken this option instead of the cowards way out, he could have repaid all the investors and most if not all of his money. Instead he gave everything away, hasn't paid anyone that he owes, but has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars on legal fees.

But he is a "smart" businessman, and he did it all for the glory of God he says. I don't think the god most of us worship would agree.

So you decide, who can we believe? I must say I am confused.

    1. Dear confused: It's pretty simple. A Sherif took food money that a federal court order states she couldn't take 2. Said sheriff invested in a car lot with a convicted felon, who she denied knowing was part owner. So much for being a smart sheriff, one problem here though her daughter was the office manager and the convicted felon her cousin. 3. Former boyfriend and state police agent Steven Ziaja also invested and did business with a convicted felon. Law enforcement doing business with a convicted felon.....hmmm...that's confusing? If after what I have pointed out (and I could point out more but I think you get the idea) you could be still confused, well _______________

    2. I am even more confused now, I thought it was Harold Jeffreys business. Clear that up for us please.

    3. Let us start with the First paragraph. Ana shouldn't have invested with anyone using INMATE FOOD FUNDS. Especially knowing full well NOT too. Ana put the money back because she was forced too ONLY after proof was sent out on this blog. Additionally, like you said, Ana lied numerous times by trying to make something stick, but in the end had to come clean. Just like a criminal. How many more funds has she used and from what account??
Paragraph two: It does not help to say "Steenson does not try to be something he is not, what you see is what you get," then go on to say Jeffreys teamed up with him just encase something went wrong so he could be a scapegoat. 1.) Steenson has a shady past 2.) Steenson has been charged RECENTLY not Jeffreys. I'll be more clear, Jeffreys did not MAKE Steenson forge and steal to be his "scapegoat." 3.) Based on Steenson's recent and past history, your absolutely right, what you see is what you get. Even if Jeffreys did own 60% of the company, apparently he did not do the forging and stealing. The only thing he did wrong was trust Steenson by believing he was a changed man.
      Paragraph three: Please show proof.
Paragraph Four: You say Katie and Ben Klein no longer want anything to do with the Hoover business because it was unethical. Then you go on to say "Not sure why Katie and John wanted to close down, Harold sent around $15,000 a month down there of investor funds, but they did." Could it be because they have morals and it was "unethical" regardless of the money??
The next paragraphs speaks of more details about what Jeffreys did (probably because he found out Steenson wasn't a changed man) and what he should have probably done (because you personally got the bad end of the stick.)

You say, "Let's look for a minute what would have happened had Jeffreys taken another route." Again, Jeffreys hasn't been charged. My question would be, what would have happened if Steenson took another route? No doubt Jeffreys made mistakes along the way. But, you personally know alot about the company and most likely were apart of it. You throw numbers out like you know for sure and make "after thought" comments about what Jeffreys should have done? Especially the statement, "Next, he could have sold the inventory off of the lot for full retail price as opposed to pennies on the dollar at a fire sale." Now, if you knew that was going on prior and certainly had no problem with it (most likely because you were making money at the time) until after hell broke loose, why speak of it now? If Jeffreys was such a bad business man and has done this most of his life, why invest, work or trust him? Whom ever authored the comment above had something to do with the business and had no problem with such dealings until Steenson, who is to maintain all accounts and Harold trusted him, hurt many people.

If you're Jeffreys and invest your own money into your own business in the beginning it's a risk but you're confident.

If you believe in your accountant and do not know the books are cooked, then go buy "things" that appear to be interest off of your investment with your own money and the business as a whole...only to find your accountant lied, what would you do? You would return what you bought. In this case sacrifice it to bankruptcy. The Jeffreys did this, you can't lie about a paper trail that anyone investigating can see...
Mr. Jeffreys, never trust anyone you're giving a second chance too.

  2. Well it's apparent ziaja or Steenson or both is now commenting. Let's break it down. Ana claims to have lost her $150,000 investment but SHAZAM she pays it all back. How?? She only makes $68,000 a year. She opened the food fund account where?? In Cullman county. I don't give a rip about the Jeffrey's. All I care about is the corrupt sheriff and the corrupt badge holders around her including Steven Ziaja. The Jeffrey's business will be dealt with In Court so stop with the deflecting already.

  3. Well you are behind and misinformed Ana carries a badge ziaja carries a badge Blake Robinson bones Wilson yes a badge. Keep up for goodness sake.

  5. So, Harold Jeffreys' car dealership borrowed money from average folks, then declared bankruptcy, leaving those individuals holding the bag, with little to no chance they'll get their money back?
Sounds a lot like what Glenda's drywall company did a couple years ago. She left her creditors holding the bag for over $600,000.
Takes one to know one, I guess.

  7. Oh Glenda it's true, I just looked it up. Now how can you critize people about money when you beat folks yourself. It's a sad day, what little credibility you had is now gone. Did you tell the Jeffreys how to file? Sad, sad, sad.

  8. Well Steven Ziaja can type and the Ana fans talking about Glenda and the Jeffreys. Notice they never answer the hard questions about sheriff Ana. Give it up. You can't answer because you can't defend illegal acts. Instead you point fingers at Glenda and now the Jeffreys. It's the oldest and most arrogant trick in the book. But it it makes you feel better jump!

  9. Well Glenda,it looks as though "Howdy Dowdy" AKA Steven Ziaja, might have climbed out from under that rock where he has been hiding. What a little slim ball, slinking around looking for innocent, decent people to follow and harass for old fat Ana.He must like animals, except for dogs of course, because he was going with a pig who smelled like a horse.Nothing has a more dirty, foul stench, than corrupt lying law enforcement.I believe that the abuse of power by these two, will soon be coming to an end.You and I and many others, know that they and their fellow thugs belong in a jail cell.I'm sure that Bentley thought that he was above the law,and he would never have to face the music.Ana and her thugs are next, and then hopefully Luther Strange will follow.

    3. If this blog was truthful it would be a productive place to get information, but it's not. Glenda takes a little truth and a very big dose of her opinion and reports it as the truth. She seems to be an expert on all things related to any financial situation, then today it comes out that she filed bankruptcy and beat people out of money. The very thing she critizes others for doing, or supposedly doing. I mean really folks, come on, you all can't be that dumb. She defends Harold Jeffreys crooked actions but yet wants to expose the actions of others. I still say take Bankrupt Harold and Bankrupt Glenda and you have whistleblower LUV.

    4. Well, just because you don't find it a productive place to get information it is most likely because your not reading what you want to see. Best luck to you because the truth hurts.

  13. What a bunch of losers....attn: Ana fans this is for you. Throwing attention to the Jeffreys and Lockhart doesn't change the following facts, all of which none of you FANS have yet to address. Ms. Franklin promised to be the most transparent sheriff ever, and never to take left over food money, condemming then sheriff Greg Bartlett for doing so. Well lets see, she took the money one lie, as far as transparency: refuses to respond to an open records request, and refuses to release the financial records. No transparency there. Then opens a food fund account in a bank in Cullman, let's see Cullman isn't in Morgan County is it? How much do we wanna bet that the account was changed to food account once she realized she was being investigated. No she wouldn't do that, she is the most transparent sheriff ever! Yet she and Ziaja and her inner circle at the Sheriff's department all want us to believe that she was the best sheriff ever in this county, don't believe me? They said so over the public address system at her rodeo, so it must be true. We have a little Montgomery going on here in Morgan County. Look for this, if the best sheriff we have ever had ( I can't believe I typed that once much less twice) can't or doesn't run for the office in the next election, someone high up in her inner circle will, that is if they are able. After all they have to keep the "free taxpayer money" scheme rolling, they are all after all dependent on it. Maybe I'm wrong on this prediction, Lol no I don't think so And the good Lord help who ever runs against that "inner circle" person, for whoever they deem as competition better have a dump truck for they will sling the mud, they will be desperate to keep the money train and deception going. So good people of this county, we aren't talked about very well outside of this county. Corruption county has taken the place of Morgan County. Pay attention the next time you can vote, or we may see this again. It speaks for itself, when your county's chief law enforcement officer doesn't keep her campaign promises, is deceptive and keeps changing her story ( retirement, FDIC Limit etc.) and no you can't see the food fund finances they are private, even though they came from taxpayer dollars. It is none of your business taxpayer how dare you hold me to my campaign promises, I'm the Sheriff! If you can defend that, and those that want to deflect and bring up the Jeffreys and Lockhart are doing today, then you are what is wrong with this county. None of you can defend what the sheriff and the inner circle has done, because it cannot be defended. News flash Ana fans, she is done in this county, all of the finger pointing at others doesn't change any of her actions what so ever. Robert Bentley tried this very stunt, it failed as it will here. Evil and corruption do not thrive, it ends like running into a brick wall. Arrogance makes a person blind and like a drug makes them think they are untouchable, this is what we are witnessing here, and notice the word is they THINK they are untouchable, and like so many others that way of thinking always usually ends with an arrest, humiliation, and jail, all of the deflecting in the world wont' change that, if it can happen to the governor, it will happen to a deceptive sheriff and her band of inner circle followers, it's coming.

    1. I don't personaly know glenda...but from what i read on this blog and everyone i speak to about it wants the same outcome of bentley to bring down these crooks spending federal inmate funds into a convictef felons car lot...why did she involve several deputies into the scheme. I would bet if it wernt for this blog the public taxpayers in this county would be bilked out of several hundred thousand more. Seems if i was the sheriff i would want to resign and do law abiding citizens of morgan county a great favore. As for all the comments about glendas bankruptcy and the jeffries dont seem to mean a hill of beans...we as citizens want to know what caused the high sheriff to not abide by a fed Judge consent degree that was clearly stated b4 she took office apparently she was not to touch. This is the concern. Its quite apparent people involved may be trying to divert attention to something the majority of the county doesnt care about. Stick to fact and all facts point to a dirty sheriff and a handful of law enforcement that followed her corruption. Kuddos to the whistleblower for keeping morgan county informed.

  14. These comments went from bad to worse. I am not for or against anyone until the final outcome. With that being said, I have to say, calling anyone out regarding a bankruptcy is petty. How many people start a business just to file bankruptcy in the future? Most of the time it's not because they have been irresponsible, many variables can come into play and some folks could honestly be victims of circumstances. Either way, it's a lot of people, not just Glenda or the Jeffreys. Your opinion starts to lose substance when you speak ignorantly.

I don't know Glenda or the Jeffreys but I do know they have not been charged for stealing or forgery. They are not in public office accused of possible corruption.

So, please, with all do respect try to post something that has substance or something of an intelligent response/opinion. Otherwise, people do not want to see it and your defeating any purpose you set out to accomplish.
