For all of you folks out there wondering or worried that I am running for sheriff, let me assure you I have no intention of running for sheriff. I do have the intent to ensure that Sheriff Ana Franklin has a hard time during the next election of a third term in office. Franklin has all but destroyed the sheriff’s office, employees, and starved and denied inmates nutritional food and health care.
The blog is a platform that became necessary after many of us who saw early on that Franklin had an agenda. We watched Franklin destroy the sheriff's office employees, people of color such as the late Angelia Hunley, Melba Hayes, Leon Bradley, Karen Davis, officer Staten, inmates within the jail, and many others whom she arrested.
Franklin fired and or forced folks out of their positions within the sheriff's office yet she allowed her common-law son-in-law Jonathan Stebbins to resign w/o proper notice after being arrested for a third time in the six weeks he worked as a corrections officer at the Morgan County Jail. Does that sound right to you? It doesn't to me but then a lot of the things I’ve seen didn't make sense. In every sense of the word, your employees and the persons in your employment and your jail must come first.
As for Sheriff Ana Franklin, Blake Robinson, Bones Wilson, and Justin Powell who tried to destroy Leon Bradley's good name, you haven't and you can't. At some point either through the legal system or re-election Sheriff Ana Franklin will not be the Sheriff of Morgan County, Alabama.
By the way, why is anyone talking about the "next sheriff of Morgan County" at this point? There is no value in living in the future when we only have today.
The sheriff has one of the most powerful positions within the state she has abused her power, she has been derelict in her duties, and has committed fraud, waste, and abuse. Franklin knowingly used inmate food funds for her own personal gain after being told those funds are off limit. The sheriff’s actions have caused a lot of undue stress on the department’s current and previous employees. The sheriff has been and still is derelict in her duties as a public servant to the county, citizens, public safety, inadequate training, resources, and education that impacts all of us.
There is a lot of people who have helped me behind the scenes that will forever be un-named. I greatly appreciate all the help and support that you have given me.
