It appears from the outside looking in that Judge Kallon let the public down by allowing Ana to pay the money back. There is more than one way to look at the most recent bombshell with Ana paying the money back.
Franklin is as guilty as sin for taking the money in the first place after requesting and receiving a legal opinion before taking office from Bill Shinn the County Attorney at the time.
Ana took the money today so she could pay it back tomorrow. We should feel grateful that she paid the money back. That money is $150,000.00 more than what we ever expected to be put back in the account.
Ana has more than a half dozen explanations and or lies about where she got the money. Now she wants us to believe that she loaned her cousin Greg Steenson a felon $150,000.00 dollars out of the kindness of her heart. Ana “loans” the money to cousin Greg and Steven Ziaja (Ana’s one-time lover) gives Greg Steenson hundreds of thousands of dollars during the same time-frame. Ziaja writes promissory notes and has the notes probated.
Ana’s claim of a “loan” to Performance Auto Sales using inmate food funds is bizarre. That part of the issue no longer exists. Ana is still on a bridge over troubled waters.
