Blogger Comments:  This comment has an easy answer.  I sure do put a lot of faith in Greg Steenson's spread sheets.  He stole 8.5 million from local banks and went to prison for that scheme.  Did I mention he wasn't alone in that scheme either?  Others went to prison.  This time he just happened to involve his cousin the High Sheriff and her boyfriend.  He is a felon, liar, and thief and he knows how to rob from the rich.  He cheats people and banks out of money, that's what he does.  Plus, the checks don't lie.

I do not believe Sheriff Franklin was the mastermind.  I believe Greg and Steven were.  If you follow the spread sheets previously posted over to "SPLIT G&S" those figures reflect the amount of money Greg and Steven cheated Pressley, Hudson, Reggie’s Mother, Venegoni, Reese, Wilder, Bones Wilson, Blake Robinson, Chaffin, and Sharp out of.

"Greg Steenson prepared spreadsheets"
You sure put a lot of faith in the word of a convicted felon, liar, and thief. I guess you'll accept what he says as "evidence".

  1. Again, how do you know Steenson prepar d the document? You seem to avoid that question.

  3. From trying to cover up taking the money from the food fund by saying that it came from retirement and savings, to I did it because of an FDIC cap on $250,000, to I just can do it because state law says I can and the heck with the court order. From while running and earning voters trust "I'll never take the food money, and be totally transparent." All of this was pretty much not true, except for I'll take it because I can. Then add to once the money was taken, I'll open an account in a Cullman bank, that way no one will know. A Cullman bank? We don't have banks in Morgan County? SHADY stuff from a county's head honcho law enforcement officer that is suppose to stand up for truthfulness and Integrity. G R E E D! And we folks were never suppose to find out. Then invests the money in a used car sales and title pawn business being ran by a convicted felon. Let's see the Sheriff who stands for law and order (that is the concept, what it is suppose to be) is now doing business with a convicted felon. Hmmm...more shade. Then the sheriff when caught and asked said she didn't know the convicted felon, Greg Steenson worked there.....so much for being a smart law enforcement officer, of course in this same news article she fails to reveal that she and Steenson are cousins. Slipped her mind, it could happen....but she didn't want the trusting public to know. Plus she failed to mention that one of her daughters was the business manager at the car lot. The then male friend (the term boyfriend, maybe offensive since they are no longer in that relationship) was an investor, but with all of that, she didn't know her convicted felon cousin ran the car lots. My, my how naive we all must have been and are in the good Sheriff's mind. Now since caught, the Sheriff is blaming everyone but her. "It's a political conspiracy" and it is all the Whistle blowers fault. I am almost sure before it is over the Kremlin and the Russians will have played a role in the "how dare they say these things about me, and make things hard on me" claims the Sheriff will make. There is a difference in taking the food money to replenish out of pocket expenses made by any Sheriff, as opposed to taking the money for profit and putting it their pocket, which is clear as to what is going on by these actions and legal request made by her attorneys. If the Sheriff is and was so justified in the taking of the money, why hide it? Why pay the money back as if you did something wrong? Where did the money come from that you paid it back with? Did it come from discretionary funds? After all, the Sheriff only makes $68,000 dollars a year. The Sheriff doesn't want to reveal that ,nor does she want to release all of the financial bank statements regarding the payback, money nor as to how much more she may have taken.

    1. Part 2 "It's private" says her attorneys and the good Sheriff herself. It is not private when the money derived come from taxpayers. So folks one has to wonder why the Sheriff ran for office, was it to make a positive law and order difference, or was it for the money. Actions speak louder than words, and the money and greed are definitely the front runners in this Sheriffs intentions. The Sheriff won't address it, and neither will her supporters in the comments on the blog. They just like to point fingers at others and deflect, Why? You cannot legitimately support these actions. A sheriff in my book can make it on $68,000 a year. Each candidate knows the salary when they run. Add a county vehicle and other allowances. This all the while deputies and corrections officers struggle to make ends meet. find leadership skills here, taking care of one's self over the others first. And last, if the Sheriff doesn't run next time or as I hope cannot run look for one her "inner circle" running. They too will preach transparency, etc.. and will more than likely run down other candidates because they want to continue the enterprise of the "GREED" for their selves.

    1. Hey private,
Why doesn't your sheriff post her food account transactions? Why is she denying open records requests? Bet she can, but she won't. The things you supporters just keep ignoring

  5. That is a classic case of you diverting attention. If you have checks show them, if not stop making accusations that you have zero proof of. You have no idea who prepared that document or whose writing it is. Stop slandering people.

  6. Hey slandering....why don't you clowns address why your sheriff is doing what she is doing and why she keeps changing her story every week. Not a one you clowns ever do that you just point deflect. So I am using your own rhetoric... answer the questions defend the actions address the issues at hand.

  7. Wow, what an idiotic response. As the old saying goes, you can't fix stupid. You just lost a reader, the fact that you react the way you do is disturbing.

  8. Hey bozo. It wasn't Glenda responding. Fix your crystal ball. Defend your sheriffs actions. Why she keeps changing her story why she won't submit to an open records request. The issues not your feelings. I'll be waiting on your response

  9. I don't think Glenda has a problem speaking for herself. Again the Ana clan is alive and well and won't address the different versions and deception. It's a challenge they can't defend so that's why they come on here in the remarks and use words like slander. Defend it address it for the sheriff. Tell me why there is a food fund bank account Cullman. Tell us why she said at first she would never take the money and did. Tell us why she uses a new excuse each and every week. Why did she put the money back? She claims she did nothing wrong. How did she pay it back on her salary. Please take time while saying slander in your remarks answer and defend those actions and statements. Bet you can't.

  10. Again, what ignorance. This particular story was put on the blog this morning and it was about a spread sheet and Glenda pretending to know who prepared it and whose handwriting is on it, not about all the Ana issues. Who's the Bozo now? Arguing with stupid people is exhausting.

  11. My bet was right. You Can't do it Won't even respond to the issues challenge issued challenge denied. I don't write the blog I'm a reader like you so I can't answer about handwriting. I issued a challenge and BOZO this is all about the Ana issues. Y'all kill me. You act big and bad on here but can't defend Anas actions. Not about all the Ana issues what do you think this blog is about? Thank you for not disappointing me.

  12. GUILTY AS CHARGED...GOODBYE ANA! The few good honest deputies claim the Sheriffs office in the biggest mess ever....keep on trying to deflect the real truth Ana thugs.

  13. Mr private you are completely idiotic!!!! Ana Franklin has claimed in bankruptcy court she lost 150000.00 that was not even hers. Stolen money from taxpayers!!!!!! That claim is against the law. Morgan County Sheriff department head deputy signed title paperwork for a vehicle that a dead man signed. Where did this vehicle come from was it impounded? Oh where are all the impounded vehicles that are supposed to be in sheriff's department possession. Oh I Know they was sold through title Mart and not auctioned off as required by law. Dang who got the money. Tic toc I Know Ana Franklin did. Another criminal act. There needs to be a complete cleaning out of the cookie cops office.

  14. I would love to see all account records. Before you jump up and raise your hand Ana, I am not speaking about your cooked books. Evidence, repossessions, permit funds, bank statements and the like. Additionally, I find it to be a desperate move to give the hartselle enquirer an interview that you should have given to the Decatur Daily months ago, IF you were innocent. You do realize and understand you look ridiculous in your attempts to look like a law abiding official, right? I've seen criminals give better interviews.

    1. Sounds like the Enquirer may have some balance, something the Daily has never had. It's ironic that Glenda has full faith in the liberal hacks at the Daily, as long as they are writing hit pieces.

  15. Anybody else notice the shift this blog has made recently? The amount of venom being spewed is at an all time high. I'm no Rick Sherman fan, but obviously he provided a somewhat less hateful voice to the blog, now we read the same few voices repeating the same lines over and over again. This is classic Goebbels; If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes accepted as truth.

  16. The truth is finally hitting home...Ana campaigned as being the most transparent Sheriff ever...come on into my office...I will have binders awaiting for the public to review...NOT...why refuse open records requests to the Daily when you clearly stated you would be transparent...not...something stinks...and it is you amount of money that you have abused and clearly wont be able to repay if Fed Judge demands them. Good luck...your lies are getting very old.

  18. First of all,Ziaja has no intention of leaving. He does not have to.His boss,John Venegoni,is also heavily involved in this ponzi scheme. Also it has been said for years, that the federal drug task force team that Franklin and Ziaja are members of has been stealing drug bust money. There is more than one cookie jar where Franklin and Ziaja are involved.Keep in mind that Ziaja is broke.Franklin has cleaned him out.I believe that he and Venegoni are trying to build up a nest egg before the "Poop" hits the fan. A.G.Strange was as corrupt as anyone can be,and the ALEA was his goon squad.I know things that would make a persons hair stand on end.Franklin and Ziaja are very sick, twisted people. This Title Marts thing is just a drop in the bucket.
