Folks, it is with deep regret that we hear Rickey Brewer is retiring from the sheriff's office come 1 December 2016. You may recall that Rickey's wife retired a few months earlier. These two folks held some of the most critical elements of the MCSO together. Both honest and reliable folks who have performed their jobs honorably under some of the most stressful times the MCSO has ever seen.
We hate to see you go, Rickey.
Now for the rest of the story. We understand that Justin Powell will be replacing Rickey Brewer as the new IT administrator. Folks, this is bad. This is real bad. However, the folks who work in the MCSO are resilient and will help us get rid of corruption. We are well aware of Justin Powell's computer skills. We are just not sure we need those type skills in the MCSO. The IT administrator is a serious position that requires honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity. Wasn't Justin Powell involved in the Title Mart debacle as well?
Since people are so sensitive to humor these days let us assure you in advance we do not mean any unsaid threats to anyone. This cartoon depicts the fact that someday we will blow corruption out of the water. We can make a difference. We can out-smart the fox in the hen house. We can rid our county of corruption. One single person can make a difference. Your private comments and email messages help us every day to spread the word on corruption. We apologize in advance if you take offense to our cartoon video. If you are one of those folks, we encourage you to watch the Road Runner just to get your juices flowing.
