Break Over - Morgan sheriff needs dash cams, Decatur Daily, Sunday Edition Editorial

Mr. Armando De Quesada, yes there's a reason why Franklin does not want dash cams in all of the vehicles.

What would happen if a dash cam records a reserve deputy stops a citizen and things got out of hand?  Lawsuit....

What would happen if a dash cam records one of the non-APOST certified deputies stops a citizen and things got out of hand?  Lawsuit....

What would happen if a dash cam records one of the chaplains stopped by a citizen needing help and the chaplain could not assist the citizen?  Lawsuit....

What would have happened if dash cam had been used when two of Franklin's favorites decided to cross over into Lawrence county and make an arrest of a Lawrence county citizen?  We saw the video the citizen made of the events which was chilling.  Charges dismissed.

What would happen if any of the above mentioned events occurred and there was a loss of life?  Lawsuit, dropped MCSO insurance, or severe increase in the cost of coverage.  Another hit to our taxpayer dollars.

Don Hall story.  We totally agree with this article.  What Don Hall did was wrong.  However, we sent you a huge volume of information on Franklin that you refused to print.  You easily kick a man that is already down because they are easy targets.  The Decatur Daily has not published a researched article on Franklin since they pushed Sherrill Marsh out.
