Thought's From The DAILY’S Sunday Story

THE BELOW INFORMATION WAS SENT TO US WITH A REQUEST TO POST IT.  THE PERSON WHO SENT US THE INFORMATION WAS VERY CLOSE TO KAY LETSON AND HAPPENS TO BE ONE OF OUR OWN, SO WE AGREED TO MAKE ONE LAST POST.  WE THE BLOGGERS ARE SO SICKENED BY THE THREE FACES OF EVE AKA SHERIFF FRANKLIN THAT WE FEEL WE HAVE SAID ENOUGH.  WE WANT TO RESPECT THE FAMILY OF KAY LETSON.  LET THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM DEAL WITH ROGER STEVENS.

Most all of us know someone in law enforcement, we are no different.  We made contact with some of ours  about the DAILY’S article Sunday.   We won’t quote their responses, needless to say the quotes were heavily critical of the two Sheriff’s “antics.”

The following is what we got.

1. Stevens was scared to come out because he was afraid he would get shot by the local police, that being Decatur and Huntsville.   All he had to do was to COMPLY with coming out with his hands up, and if Sheriff Franklin had him on the phone that is what he should have been told.

2.  Both Sheriffs took the WORD by way of a phone call from a man that had just committed cold blooded  murder that he did not have a gun.  Once they got into the truck with this murderer based on his WORD and if he did have a gun he in fact could have had two hostages that he didn’t have before, and both would have been the two Sheriffs.

3.  Since Sheriff Franklin had him on the phone, there is a question as to how that was done, did she call him?  Did he call her?   If either is true then they must have known each other.  Since phone contact was made, that is how  far the negotiations should have gone, no further, certainly never ever entering the truck.  Certainly never letting a family member in the truck.

4.  It was GRANDSTANDING by the Sheriffs, they did not work with Decatur and Huntsville Police.  This based on their grandstanding actions this certainly could have been another unpleasant headline.   After much thought, we think the DAILY’s article was in poor taste and we cannot help to wonder if the friends and family of Kay Stevens wonder why her murderer was treated so nice by these two Sheriff’s.  Whiskey and Ice, no handcuffs, a promised trip to Somerville to see his dad.  Yes Sheriff Franklin, you are tough on domestic violence offenders aren't you!  We would call them (Blakely and Franklin) Andy and Mandy Taylor, but we like Andy Taylor and this is no joke, it is deplorable. We hope we don’t have to report on this again.
